Abstract submission for posters

Abstract submission for posters

Thank you to those who have submitted abstracts for research and clinical case posters, to be displayed and presented during the Congress.
The submission period is now closed. Submissions will be reviewed and all applicants will be notified of the results by Friday 6 December 2019.

Poster presentation guidelines
Presenting a poster at WVAC 2020 is an effective way for participants to communicate their research or clinical findings to interested colleagues. Poster presentations allow for one-on-one discussion and opens doors for future collaboration. Posters are often the "presentation format of choice" for many scientists and veterinarians.

To be considered for a poster presentation by the WVAC 2020 Scientific Program Committee, you must submit an abstract no more than 500 words excluding author’s details and title.

The submission must contain author’s details, title and summary and authors must agree to the terms and conditions and the design and content guidelines.

Research or clinical case posters in the following areas will be considered:

  • Aquatic medicine
  • Companion animal
  • Dairy cattle
  • Equine
  • Public health, food safety and animal welfare
  • Sheep, beef cattle and deer
  • Veterinary education

Deadlines
Abstract submission deadline: 5pm Friday 1 November 2019 (NZT)
Abstract decisions communicated: By 5pm Friday 6 December 2019 (NZT)

Poster presentation schedule

  • Posters will be displayed for the duration of WVAC 2020 during non-presentation time(s) in the exhibition room.
